Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Govern42 ("Govern42", "we", "us") provides educational AI-governance tools, templates, guidance and subscription services through govern42.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. Entity and contact details are in our Legal Notice.

2. What the Service is — and is not

Govern42 provides educational orientation and preparation materials for ISO/IEC 42001 and the EU AI Act. We are not a certification body, a law firm, or an accredited auditor. Using the Service does not by itself grant ISO/IEC 42001 certification, guarantee EU AI Act compliance, or constitute legal advice. Certification is issued only by an accredited body following an independent audit. You remain responsible for your own compliance decisions and should obtain professional advice for your specific situation.

3. Accounts & subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro" or "Managed"). Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period you select until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices are shown at checkout and may change on renewal with notice.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party merchant of record, who handles billing, taxes and receipts. Your use of paid features is also subject to that provider's terms. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Licence & acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and to use the documents and templates we provide for your own organisation's internal AI-governance purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish our templates or content as your own product. You may not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it unlawfully.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its content and its templates are owned by Govern42 or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Documents you create using our templates for your own organisation are yours to use internally.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Govern42 is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
